On December 4, 2013, Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW) published an 

updated List of Designated Additives.  The MHLW has not released an updated Standards for 

Use document. 

 

Japan’s food additive use regulations are included in the International Food Additive
